Pause on Promotional Item Purchases
As part of Montgomery College’s refreshed brand rollout, we are preparing to launch a new online storefront for ordering Montgomery College-branded apparel and promotional items. To ensure consistency with our new brand standards and to streamline purchasing, we ask that all departments pause any new promotional item purchases until this RFP process is complete.
If you are considering promotional items or have related questions, please direct your inquiries to Marketing and Communications. We are here to help guide you and ensure your materials reflect our brand identity of Exceptional Education. Extraordinary Outcomes.
Thank you for your partnership and patience as we complete this important step in strengthening our brand presence across the College.

Updates to Your Supplemental Retirement Annuity Plans
The HRSTM Benefits team completed a search for supplemental retirement annuity (SRA) plan recordkeepers and administrators, resulting in significant cost savings while maintaining high-quality service.
The four (4) current providers (Corebridge, Equitable, TIAA, and Voya) will continue servicing 403(b) and 457(b) SRA plans at reduced fees. The plans will transition from annuity-based to mutual fund platforms, making fees more transparent while preserving investment options.
The platform change takes effect Friday, October 17, 2025, for salary deferrals. Current participants do not need to take immediate action, though employees may transfer existing funds to the new mutual fund options. Employees not currently participating who wish to set up a new SRA should wait until this date to do so.
Plan providers will mail detailed information about investment options and fees to participants' home addresses. Those with multiple vendors can expect separate communications from each provider.
These changes will help employees save more for retirement through lower fees and clearer cost structures. For specific investment questions, participants can contact their SRA providers or personal financial advisors.
For complete details, read the full memo sent to current participants on September 18, 2025.
