MC 2026 Open Enrollment and Benefits Fairs: October 20–November 7
The HRSTM Benefits team invites all MC employees to save the date for the upcoming Benefits Fairs. As Open Enrollment approaches, from Monday, October 20, 2025, through Friday, November 7, 2025, this is your opportunity to review and update your health benefits or enroll in new plans. Any updates to your benefits will be effective on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
At the Benefits Fairs, you can explore plan options, access wellness resources, obtain financial advice, and speak with vendors to have your questions answered.

Help Spread the Word: MC Day 2025 on October 21
MC Day takes place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, and provides students with valuable opportunities to connect with academic programs, student services, and career resources – all in one day!
From 9 to 10 a.m., each campus and the East County Education Center will host a Welcome Hour Resource Fair, featuring information tables from student services and academic areas, along with giveaways and snacks to kick off the day.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., students can participate in advising sessions, workshops, and career exploration activities. Academic and Student Affairs programs will provide educational advising, highlight student support services and financial aid, and host workshops designed to help students plan their educational and career pathways.
Please encourage students to attend MC Day, whether they are new, returning, or exploring their next steps. Your reminder can make a big difference in helping them take advantage of this event and the many resources available.

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, Italian American Heritage Month, Polish American Heritage Month, and German American Heritage Month. MC Library is excited to celebrate!
Stop by any of our campus library locations to view displays and borrow books, films, and more related to the rights of people with disabilities in the workplace and Italian, Polish, and German American heritage.
Or check out our online guides for Disability Employment Awareness, Italian American Heritage, Polish American Heritage, and German American Heritage. These guides include recommendations for books and e-books, streaming films, research resources, and local organizations related to disability rights, history, and contemporary thought, as well as Italian, Polish, and German American heritage.
We encourage you to use these guides for your own personal growth and share them with your students who may benefit from learning more about these important awareness months.

Emergency Evacuation Accommodation In the event of an emergency, all employees should have an emergency evacuation plan. Those needing assistance during an evacuation due to a disability should inform their employers and building managers to aid in the planning process.
