Photo and Video Guidelines
See the 'Photo' section in the MC Website Style Guide (PDF, ) .
If there is a photo that needs to be reviewed, email webcommunications@montgomerycollege.edu. The general rules are; no collages, no graphics, and no stock photos that include people’s faces.
It is ok to use stock photos in some cases. The exception is that we do not want to show people that are not MC people. You can use photos that show a person’s arm, or show the back of a head etc, but we have a Getty subscription to use if need be.

The MC Flickr account new windowis now password protected. Since you might need quick access to the photos with the web migration, you can use the login info found in Emily's email sent on November 2nd 2018 (please do not share the password).
If other staff members are looking for photos, here is the process:
- View MC photos on www.flickr.com/photos/montgomerycollege/new window
- If you see a photo that you like, email requestphotos@montgomerycollege.edu to request the option without the watermark. It can take up
to three business days to get the photos. - If they can’t find the photo they need, they can send the request to the same email address (requestphotos@montgomerycollege.edu) and the team can see if a different photo is saved on the photo server – and decide next steps to do if the photo is not available.
Moving Folders Guidlines
Whenever we move folders/pages in Omni, please remember to:
- Move corresponding '_documents' and '_images' folders
- Inform IT so aliases and access can be resolved
