Improved Login Experience for MC Applications
The Office of Information Technology is updating how you access MC applications to enhance security and simplify the login experience. Currently, the College maintains two different authentication systems to login into MC applications. Beginning in May and continuing through August, we will transition to a single authentication system.
This update will simplify and modernize access to enterprise applications through a unified sign-on experience that improves usability, strengthens security, and minimizes impact to the campus community.
What this means for you:
While the overall impact to users is expected to be minimal, brief intermittent access issues may occur during scheduled migration windows as applications transition to the new authentication system. Any service interruptions are expected to be temporary and short in duration.
Until the migration is fully complete, you may also encounter some MC applications that require you to login twice:
If you see the current purple login screen enter your credentials as MyMCID and your MyMC password:
If you see the new blue login screen you will enter your credentials as MyMCID@montgomerycollege.edu and your MyMC password:
Mobile Devices
Some users may be prompted to re-enter their credentials for Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) on their mobile device after the Microsoft migration on
the evening of May 22.
