Educational Assistance Program (EAP) requests for both direct payments and employee reimbursements must be fully approved in Workday by Friday, December 19, 2025, for payment before winter break.
Full approval requires authorization from your manager, HRSTM (EAP Partner), and accounts payable. Requests not fully approved by Friday, December 19, 2025, will be processed when the College reopens in January 2026.

Year-End Payroll Reminders: Early Timesheet Deadlines and Tax Statement Updates
As we approach the winter break and the end of the calendar year, please be mindful of upcoming early payroll deadlines and year-end tax requirements. Submitting timesheets and time-off requests on time helps ensure accurate and timely pay.
Early Timesheet Deadlines Winter Break: For the pay period ending Friday, December 19, 2025, all hourly timesheets and time off must be submitted and approved by noon on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Year-End Tax Statement Reminder Employees should review and update their Form W-2 and Form 1095-C election preferences, paper or electronic (recommended), in Workday by Friday, December 19, 2025.

The HRSTM Employee Data Dashboard provides monthly data about MC employees and encourages employees to access on-demand information and resources.
The data dashboard has been updated as of Monday, December 15, 2025.
The updates include broad information, such as the total number of employees broken down by employee type and demographic category. We believe this dashboard will aid you in answering questions, planning, and identifying personnel trends at Montgomery College.

Visual and Performing Arts: Faculty and Staff Biennial Exhibition Open Through January 30
The Visual and Performing Arts Department invites the MC community to experience new work showcased in the 2025–2026 Faculty and Staff Biennial Exhibition. The exhibition features pieces across sculpture, painting, photography, design, media arts, and performance.
The exhibition is open through Friday, January 30, 2026, at the King Street Gallery on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.
King Street Gallery Schedule • Gallery Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. • Holiday Closures: Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026, and Monday, January 19, 2026.
The King Street Gallery is located in the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center. Parking is available in the West Campus Garage, with additional parking in the East Campus Garage.

Staff Enrichment Day 2026: Exceptional Staff, Extraordinary Impact
Mark your calendar for Staff Enrichment Day 2026 on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.
Hosted by the Staff Enrichment Day Planning Committee, this annual event offers staff a full day to connect, learn, and celebrate. Enjoy interactive workshops, opportunities to network and reconnect with colleagues, great food, and engaging activities designed to inspire and energize.
Staff are invited to get involved by submitting a workshop proposal, nominating a colleague for the Staff Distinguished Service Award, and sharing your achievements through Degree Completion recognition. All submissions and nominations are due by Friday, February 20, 2026.

Part-Time Faculty Hiring Deadline for Spring 2026
Hiring managers, please note that all part-time faculty (PTF) hiring actions for the spring 2026 semester must be completed by Friday, January 16, 2026.
Meeting this deadline ensures new faculty are onboarded and ready for classes starting Monday, January 26, 2026. Departments should complete hiring steps early to allow adequate time for review and processing.
