Employee and Labor Relations
The HRSTM Employee and Labor Relations team is here to support healthy and productive work relationships that promote the mission of the college. We provide guidance and strategies (PDF, ) to prevent and deescalate workplace conflicts. Clear and open channels of communication between employees and managers are basic principles of sound employee relations.
On occasion, employees and managers differ on important questions or employment policies. When that happens, guidelines and procedures have been established to provide employees and managers the tools needed to evaluate and resolve the problem.
If you have a concern that needs our help, you will file a complaint, also known as a grievance. To start the process, fill out the appropriate form (depending on whether or not you belong to a union) or by contacting a member of ELR, we will work with you through each step of the process to resolution .
The College's ELR handles the employee exit interview process. To initiate the exit process, please forward your "resignation" or retirement letter to Elline Damirdjian who will start the communication process for exit interview and clearance form (PDF, ) .
