Considerations to keep in mind for CIGNA Choice Fund participants:

  • Employees who elect to enroll in this plan may not be enrolled in a health care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Participants may enroll in a limited FSA for vision and dental expenses.
  • New enrollees who are currently in a FSA must incur and be reimbursed for all expenses by the end of the calendar year, or else they may not be eligible for the full College HSA funding amount.
  • Employees enrolled in the Health Savings Account may not have other health coverage, including Medicare Part A and/or B, or be collecting Social Security benefits. Employees’ dependents may not have other health coverage, but may be Medicare participants.
  • Employees may utilize the HSA to pay for qualified medical, dental, pharmacy and vision expenses.
