360° Feedback Survey
As a result of President Pollard’s adoption of recommendations in the FY16 Ombuds report, the College began conducting 360° feedback surveys for supervisors at all levels throughout the organization. The purpose of a 360° feedback survey is to provide direct reports and peers an anonymous venue for giving honest, constructive feedback to a supervisor on how they may further strengthen and/or improve their supervisor skills and leadership competencies. Results of the feedback are included in an anonymous report and can serve as a tool and resource to both the supervisor-participant and their manager in developing meaningful performance improvement and professional development goals.
The College is working with The 3D Group, a firm that has extensive experience and expertise in individual and organizational assessments, to conduct the 360° feedback survey for the College.
The information below outlines the plan for conducting the survey based on a staggered schedule. It is our intention that, with a staggered schedule, raters will not be overwhelmed with multiple requests at the same time. Cohort surveys will run for two (2) weeks to allow adequate time for raters to complete.

- Monitor progress of each group
- Conduct post survey results sessions for participants
- Meet with participants to review survey findings to reach a deeper understanding of survey results and to discuss developmental areas
3D Group
- Create 360° Feedback survey
- Send survey via email to participant, participant’s manager and raters
- Send reminders to raters to complete survey
- Create report of findings
- Send individual reports to participants and participant’s manager
Supervisor - Participant
(administrators, department chairs, managers, and supervisors)
- Complete a Self-assessment
- Invite peers to rate their supervisory skills and leadership competency
- Enter peers into 3D portal after they accept invitation
- Receive and review the generated report by The 3D Group
- Attend a post-survey session and/or reach out to HR Internal Consultant to review findings reach a deeper understanding of survey results and to discuss developmental areas
- Meet with manager to review findings and create a development and action plan
Participant's Supervisor
- Complete survey and provide feedback during 2-week survey window
- Receive and review the generated report by The 3D Group
- Meet with participant(s) to review report findings
- Work with supervisor/participant to draft a development and action plan
- Provide resources and support along with periodic check-in on status of development and action plan
Other Raters
(direct reports and peers)
- Complete survey and provide feedback during the two week survey window
